Privacy Policy

Read how OnlineTools handles tool inputs, technical request data, browser storage, and external links.

The short version

The content you enter into current tools is processed locally in your browser and is not intentionally included in analytics events. We do not require an account. Google Analytics loads only after your first interaction with a page.

Tool input and local processing

Current OnlineTools utilities process the text and values you enter directly in your browser. Tool inputs are not intentionally transmitted to OnlineTools servers, and we do not provide accounts or cloud storage for that content.

Your browser may keep ordinary page state while a tab is open. Download and copy actions are initiated on your device.

Anonymous tool usage records

When a tool is successfully used, we send its feature identifier to our server and store a record with the time of use. These records do not contain tool inputs, outputs, files, IP addresses, browser information, cookies, or user identifiers.

Technical request data

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may process limited technical data needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, response status, and security events.

This technical data is separate from the content you enter into a browser-based tool.

Analytics and cookies

OnlineTools uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate page usage, referral sources, devices, and browser characteristics. The analytics script is delayed until you first interact with a page by clicking, touching, typing, or scrolling.

Google Analytics may set analytics cookies and process identifiers and approximate location derived from technical request data. We do not intentionally include the text, JSON, tokens, passwords, or other values you enter into a tool in analytics events.

Google controls its own processing of analytics data under its privacy terms. Essential infrastructure may also use security or delivery mechanisms required to serve the website reliably.

Email communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in the email. We use it to respond, investigate a report, or evaluate a suggestion. Do not send secrets or confidential production data.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this page when the website, its infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The effective date below will be updated when a material revision is published.
